Early-years learning apps are held to a higher standard than the rest of the store: what a four-year-old is shown, what the app is allowed to ask them, and what it may collect are all constrained before a single screen is designed.

An alphabet and early-numeracy app for pre-school children, built on Expo with Supabase behind it and spoken prompts through the device speech engine so a child who cannot yet read can still be led through a lesson. Permissions the app has no use for — microphone, external storage — are blocked at the manifest rather than merely left unrequested, which is the difference between a policy statement and a build.

Live on Google Play, released through the same pipeline as the rest and carrying its own privacy notice. The constraints of a children’s listing were designed for, not retrofitted after a review rejection.
